Technical Lead

I am looking for my client, a leading Belgian telecommunications and digital services provider, for an experienced Tech Lead. This role plays a pivotal part in providing technical leadership across multiple teams and shaping the long-term technology direction of a highly impactful domain.

Your Role

As a Tech Lead, you will act as the technical backbone of the TSS Journeys cluster. You will collaborate closely with architects, product owners, analysts, and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and future-proof systems that support major business processes.

What you will do

• Define and maintain a clear technology roadmap, aligned with architectural vision and product needs.
• Deliver best-in-class technical solutions to complex business and operational challenges.
• Promote and enforce architectural guardrails and modern engineering practices.
• Ensure adherence to quality attributes such as security, scalability, maintainability, and code quality.
• Lead initiatives to reduce technical debt and elevate engineering standards.
• Guide teams through cloud adoption and translate conceptual architecture into real-world implementation.
• Drive innovation, including opportunities in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Streamline delivery, patching, and release cycles.
• Organize knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and inspiration moments for new technologies.
• Support business analysts in converting business requirements into robust technical designs.
• Ensure high-quality technical documentation, conduct code reviews, and provide daily guidance to engineering teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in technical leadership, solution design, or senior engineering roles within enterprise environments.
• Strong background in scalable software design, architecture principles, and modern delivery processes.
• Solid expertise in cloud technologies (AWS preferred), CI/CD, security, and database design.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, networking/infrastructure, and industry engineering standards.
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Strong leadership, mentoring capabilities, and stakeholder management skills.
